Team PEI traveled to Caledonia, Ont in February 2022 to compete in the Ontario Winter Open.

Day 1 Vanessa Keefe and RJ Hetherington competed in the U19 division.

Vanessa Keefe was 3-0 all via technical superiority without allowing a single point against to win the 74kg class while RJ took home Bronze with 3W and 1L in a very tough 65KG division. It was a great day for Team PEI.

Day 2 was another successful day for PEI.

RJ once again took Bronze but this time up an age group in the Jr 65kg. Vanessa was golden again in the 76kg Jr division and also finished with Bronze 76KG Senior division.

Christian Desreux and Andrew Clow wrestled in the Junior 86kg division. Both fought in their first ever wrestling tournament. Christian had a record of 1W 2L while Andrew finished with 2L.
